Vehicles on the road communicate with each other to warn drivers of dangerous, critical situations at an early stage and to inform them about the current traffic and weather situation. In addition, vehicles can communicate with other participants such as traffic lights and road signs (V2I=vehicle to infrastructure), pedestrians or cyclists (V2P=vehicle to pedestrian), the mobile network (V2N=vehicle to network) or with their own homes (V2H=vehicle to home). To ensure this type of communication, different components such as antennas, WLAN modules, control units as well as infotainment systems are installed in the vehicles. For these components, different metering applications are necessary to ensure optimal function.
With our dispensing systems, the antennas are filled with a potting material to protect them against environmental influences. In the WLAN modules and control units, thermally conductive materials are applied between the electronics and the aluminum heat sink to prevent overheating. The housings of the WLAN modules and control units are protected against moisture by applying a liquid seal to the housing.
